Strive for a New Journey and Write a New chapter
On Dec 31, 2022, 30,000 people gathered at the Steel Garden to welcome the New Year in a dazzling light show (see photo). In the evening, with the theme of "Strive for a New Journey and Write a New chapter", the 2023 Beijing New Year Countdown activity sponsored by Beijing Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau presented a panoramic and immersive light show visual feast of large-scale industrial sites in the Shougang Park. A total of 59,463 people and tourists visited the park on the last day of 2022, a 3.6 times increase from normal days. More than 30,000 people and tourists came to the park after 17 am.
